Primary Duties  and Responsibilities

As the Technical Content Developer, you provide design and content creation expertise for the development and support of documentation, on-line eLearning courses, and instructor-led training. 

Primary Duties Include:

  • Produce and update high-quality documentation, readme files, and course content for technical courses.
  • Participate in the product development process, meeting with development, quality assurance, and support to insure timely completion and delivery of all technical content projects.
  • Be able to communicate with software developers and testers and understand highly technical information provided by them and translate that into comprehensible, digestible, and memorable useful information for product users.
  • Follow specified instructional design process to develop engaging multimedia eLearning courses.
  • Develop and deliver documentation and readme using a content management system.
  • Use industry standard eLearning development tools and programs.
  • Develop learning resources in variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, and animation technologies to support curriculum offerings.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the learning solutions and assessments using available tools. Analyze results and make changes as part of a continual improvement process.
  • Assist with authoring of certification exams.
  • Produce technical content that is easy to understand and delivers high retention for the learner.

Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation.
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and multimedia.
  • Familiar with eLearning course development, including (P)ADDIE.
  • Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of all StorageCraft software products and solutions.
  • Excellent written skills in English.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry standard eLearning development tools and ability to quickly become proficient with specific tools used by StorageCraft.
  • Ability to install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2012R2 and REHL/CentOS/Ubuntu Linux in a physical and virtual environment with Hyper-V, Vmware ESXi, and VirtualBox.
  • BS degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Instructional Design with Technical emphasis is highly preferred.
