StorageCraft Technology Corporation is looking for an experienced Instructional Designer.  In this role, you will provide design and content creation expertise for the development and support of eLearning courses, and instructor-led training.


  • Produce and update high-quality course content for technical courses.
  • Meet with other instructional designers, support technicians, documentation, and others as necessary to ensure timely completion and delivery of training course projects.
  • Communicate with software developers and testers to understand highly technical information provided by them and translate that into comprehensible, digestible, and memorable useful information for product users.
  • Consult with team on optimal design of curriculum and instruction and effective uses of multimedia.  Develop accordingly.
  • Develop course projects from inception to completion.
  • Follow specified instructional design process to develop engaging multimedia eLearning courses.
  • Use industry standard eLearning development tools and programs.
  • Develop learning resources in variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, and animation technologies to support curriculum offerings.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the learning solutions and assessments using available tools. Analyze results and make changes as part of a continual improvement process.
  • Evaluate the need for updates to course materials based on product releases, new functionality, and feedback from learning specialists and participants, and overall curriculum strategy. Recommend prioritization of updates and ensure implementation.
  • Assist with authoring of certification exams.
  • Assist with administration of a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assist with Instruction and Training Program Management


  • Passion for helping others learn and succeed.
  • Degree in instructional technology, curriculum design or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, course design, curriculum design or eLearning is preferred.
  • Degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science helpful.
  • Excellent written skills in English.
  • Familiar with course development strategies, including (P)ADDIE.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry standard eLearning development tools and ability to quickly become proficient with specific tools used by StorageCraft.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server 2012R2 and REHL/CentOS/Ubuntu Linux in a physical and virtual environment with Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, and VirtualBox is a plus.
  • Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) administration helpful.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and multimedia.
  • Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of all StorageCraft software products and solutions.
