StorageCraft are currently recruiting for an IT Systems Administrator to support the growth of our Cork office and EMEA presence. 


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming helpdesk support requests through phone calls, ticketing system or hands on requests.
  • Be available 24/7 for emergency response or to assist US IT team in troubleshooting or new system implementation
  • Install, upgrade, and configure workstations and hardware.
  • Deploy, update and maintain a standard image.
  • Provide assistance with trouble-shooting of software/hardware/telephone and other related products.
  • Assist with the breakdown, relocation, and setup of workstations to accommodate user's relocation's, site relocation's.
  • Maintain secure patch levels, AV and backups on workstations and servers as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of all IT assets.
  • Willing and able to assist other IT technicians install, test, implement, administer, or maintain systems, applications, equipment and plans.
  • Managing office A/V and presentation systems
  • Build, maintain and update a knowledgebase system with step by step answers to common problems and questions.
  • Handle some purchasing and other EMEA specific accounts



  • Troubleshooting skill, team-building approach and customer service oriented.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with most common desktop/laptop software and hardware systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and configuring Windows based networked PC.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and configurations (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN).
  • Active Directory, Windows Server and higher, basic understanding of DNS, and DHCP.
  • Avaya Phone system experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve general help desk issues, with enthusiastic self-motivation.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized.
  • 2+ years of experience in Technical Support and/or Systems Administrator Role.
  • 2+ years of in-depth experience working with Windows 7, 8, 10, Server 2008, 2012, and 2016.
  • Experience working with VMware, Office 365, ActiveDirectory/Azure, Exchange,
  • 2+ years of experience with troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, VPN, and Routing).
  • Experience working with a Help Desk ticket system.
  • Experience working with Atlassian Products, Avaya Phone System, WatchGuard Firewalls, Mimecast SPAM Firewalls, Nagios/Centreon Monitoring, SalesForce a plus.
