StorageCraft is searching for an experienced Sr. Manager of IT who can maintain and expand our global computer networks. The ideal candidate will be able to manage our WAN, LAN, SAN and EDI computer platforms, while looking for ways to grow our networks in a cost-effective way to meet future needs. The IT Manager will be responsible for developing network maintenance and growth plans, creating annual and project budgets, managing the IT staff and keeping the executive team up to date on the latest networking technologies that could help the company to succeed.

 Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for organizational systems, networks, and facilities.
  • Strive for operational excellence by transforming the results of the IT department.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop all staff within the IT department. Ensure the organizational structure is appropriate for supporting StorageCraft's current and further business needs. 
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
  • Scheduling staff to support a 24/7 operation and ensuring that after-hours on-call resources are available.
  • Establishing and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Managing the connectivity, systems, and security of 6 global office locations and 3 data centers.
  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.
  • Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff.
  • Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
  • Develop innovative network troubleshooting methods that reduce downtime and lower repair costs.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration through the IT department to determine the maintenance and growth needs of the network.
  • Responsible for creating and administering disaster plans that will keep the company functional in the event of a crisis.
  • Ensuring that networks, data security, and systems are regularly audited and monitored for health.
  • Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues relative to all corporate software and hardware in a timely manner.
  • Participate in all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Install hardware and peripheral components
  • Desktop Support for 300+ global employees.
  • Travel is required for this position at time to conferences, office locations (including international travel), and data centers.


  • 3+ years' experience managing technical staff.
  • B.A in Information Technology or related field.
  • 10+ years' experience working in the information technology field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology.
  • Comprehensive IT background including, but not limited to, scripting, infrastructure, network, domain, database, hardware, API integration, firewall, VPN, etc.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Domain, O365, Exchange experience is a must.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills required.
  • Experience with infrastructure running in a hybrid cloud model.
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
  • Experience with monitoring systems and their implementations.
  • Linux, Windows, and Macintosh systems administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and automation
  • Experience with physical infrastructure including racking & stacking, cabling, provisioning, and monitoring.
  • Experience with Bash, Python, and Powershell scripting.
